FCCLA Chapter Completes Global Service Project
Students from the Lighthouse
Ministries Orphanage in Kenya, Africa pose for pictures with the Christmas stockings made by the FCS/FCCLA students from
Columbus Community Schools in Columbus Junction, Iowa. The students made 40 Magic stockings for all 40
girls to put in the school supplies (pencils, paper, pens, erasers, glue, markers, scissors, and rulers)
purchased and also sent by the FCCLA chapter for Christmas. This is one of the global projects that
Columbus chapter participates in. Lois Mincks is the chapter adviser, contact her with any questions concerning the

FCCLA Project: Are YOU Going to be Goated?
The Wilton

proceeds went to the Children’s Miracle Network Program. Goats were delivered to select yards and owners needed
to pay to have the goats removed! Goat Insurance was available ahead of time for purchase… to prevent this event from
happening. Costs are…
- $5.00 removes the goat
- $5.00 sends goat to the next yard of your
choice
- $5.00 buys insurance for one time
- $10.00 buys insurance for the two days
